Thank you for your interest in our program. The Successful Learning Center, Inc. “SLC” is a comprehensive community program which offers all students the opportunity to participate in a college experience. The SLC offers continuing education courses for all adults with varying abilities such as individuals with visual or hearing impairment, spinal cord injuries, Down syndrome, Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury, speech and language disabilities, disabled veterans and stroke survivors. The SLC does not just serve individuals with developmental disabilities but all students interested in continuing their education within the community. OPWDD eligibility not required.

Our Students: SLC students must be adults who can demonstrate the appropriate social behaviors for an academic setting and wish to continue their education. The student must be capable of controlling their body and bodily functions, unattended, at all times during the class and while on the premises. The SLC cannot assist with any aspects of daily living.
The SLC shall maintain the confidentiality of all personal information regarding students, including but not limited to medical condition, medications and family history. Any information SLC obtains regarding a student will be used for the sole benefit of the student in the development of curriculum and classes.
