The Social Club is a component of the SLC which will help students build relationships through community involvement and social activism.
Unlike our SLC classes, students can participate on a week to week basis. The club is a group of individual students getting together to share a common interest.
As a group we will meet to discuss different ideas and projects important to us. Everyone will be involved with planning events and implementing meaningful community projects designed to increase social awareness. Our primary focus will be on making positive changes not just in our own lives but in the lives of others.
Fall 2022 Dates - Time 11:00-2:00
10/14/22 - The club will discuss why it is important to help others in the community. As a group we will decide what we can do to help others have a Happy Halloween.
10/28/22 - Wear your costume for some Halloween fun. The club will make goodie bags and Halloween masks to donate to the Blythedale Children's Hospital.
11/18/22 - Food Drive supporting the Pleasantville Food Pantry. During the month of November, the club will focus on collecting donations and will create tray toppers to be delivered along with the food boxes.
12/2/22 - The club will organize a toy drive and collect donations for the Westchester County Toy Drive. In conjunction with People to People, letters to Santa will be selected to help sponsor two families with their holiday wishes.
12/9/22 - Club members will wrap the collected toys and write holiday cards to accompany the donations.
